Why are my Visitor Notifications delayed?

Your guest left hours ago, but you are only receiving their exit notification now

Why does this happen?

Your guest arrived and you received their arrival notification on the My Estate Life app.

When they left, you did not immediately receive the exit notification - but got it much, much later.

The system at the gatehouse automatically syncs with the My Estate Life app. Here are a few reasons why your notifications could be delayed:


1. Internet Connection - your mobile data or Wi-Fi was off when your guest left, and all notifications have come through once you have restored your internet connection


2. Human error by the guards - your guest left the property and guards did not follow the correct protocol. Guests were allowed to exit the property without being scanned.

This resulted in the guards going through the system hours later and checking out any guests they did not properly check out - hence you receiving the notification at that time.


3. The most unlikely - your guest was actually still on the property. 

What can I do if the guards keep doing this?

Chat to management. They will be able to liaise with the guards, and even contact us if they feel the guards need a refresher training session.
