How do I add a visitor?
Understanding the visitor management section
My Estate Life allows residents to create invitations for visitors in the app, this visitor pass/ticket will be presented by the visitor upon arrival at the property. Lets look into how this process works :
How does the invitation of guests in app work?
Start by tapping on the My Visitor button on the home page. You will see an invite form here - the app gives you the ability to import a contact from your phones contact list.
NOTE : This function will ask for your permission to access your contacts, this does not give the app any ability to download or see all your contacts, it simply is a function of making it easy to fetch a contact information, and that action requires permission.
You can switch easily between inviting a normal visitor or a company.
Examples would be :
1. Normal visitor (friend, relative, person)
2. Company (food delivery, courier, contractor)

Setting the Time and Date of arrival
You can customise when the visitor will be arriving by setting the estimated time and date of arrival. The time of arrival can be a wide estimate, this just helps your property schedule security as to when they will be busy.

Setting the duration of the visitors access
Some estates give their residents the option to allow a visitor access for up to 5 days on a single visitor pass.
The system works like this :
- A once off access allows a single in and out right.
- 24hrs : will allow the visitor 24hrs of in and out access from the scheduled date
- 2 - 5 days : Will allow the visitor access unlimited times for the duration of the allocated days

Submit your guest to reveal the ticket
Once you submit the guest, you will see the app generates you a visitor ticket that can be shared with your visitor. The system allows you several ways to share this with your visitor.
1. Save the image: so you can share it or use it later - this will save in your phones Gallery.
2. Share the image: This will allow you to share the image on one of your phone's apps (Email, Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook etc.)
3. Share via SMS: This will open your SMS app, allowing you to share the access code with the visitor.
4. Share via Whatsapp: This will share the image on WhatsApp to your visitor.

Select the MY VISITORS Tab on the top of the device to access advanced settings

Recent Visitors list
When an access code is generated for a guest, they are immediately added to the recent visitors list. From there, you have the option to pin them for easy access, ensuring they remain at the top of your list for future reference. You can also quickly reinvite them without needing to re-enter their details, streamlining the process for frequent or returning guests. This feature enhances convenience by keeping important visitor information readily available and easily manageable.
How to pin a visitor:
When you generate an access code for your guest, the app will add them to your Recent Visitors list. By swiping on a contact here, you can pin (green icon) the contact which will save them on the list in that position, allowing a quick invite next time.
How to delete a visitor from Recent Visitors:
Simply swipe left over the contact you wish to delete, and click the red 'bin' icon, and they will be removed from this list.

Changes in the latest version of the app
In the latest version of the app, the rules for the Recent Visitor list have been simplified. There are always 5 available slots on this list, but the number of pinned visitors affects how many recent invites are displayed:
- If 1 visitor is pinned, only 4 slots remain for recent visitors.
- If 2 visitors are pinned, 3 slots remain for recent visitors - and so forth
- If there are no recent invites, the list will be empty.
Users on older versions of the app (V2 or V3.0) must update their My Estate Life app to ensure these changes are applied.
See more details on your arriving visitors
By tapping on an arriving visitor you will reveal more information about their arrival, like their access code, duration and advanced options.
The options are :
Green : Share the ticket - this will bring back the ticket of the visitor.
Blue : Edit the visitor - change the details or arrival details of this visitor.
Red : Delete this visitor.

See more details on your checked in visitors
To see more information on your checked in visitors, you can tap on them in the app and it will reveal the details.
You may want to see the visitors access code, incase they have forgotten this.
You have the ability to "Check Out" a guest. This will mark them as OFF the estate/building.
There can be situations where your visitor has exited the property without checking out at security. In this case, the system would think they are still ON SITE, this function gives residents the ability to check out the visitor in these circumstances.
This can also be used as a security feature. If you want to block the visitor from exiting the property, you can check them out, this will stop the visitor at the exit as the security will not be able to locate them as "ON SITE" and will give a resident time to inform the security of the situation or breach of security.
